A World to Dream of
I want to live in a world,
Where no one cares,
How you look,
Or what you wear,
The color of your skin,
Or the color of your hair,
The shape of your body,
Or your weight,
Whether you're an early bird,
Or if you're always late,
I want to live in a world,
Where good always prevails,
Where money doesn't matter,
And evil always fails,
I want to live in a world,
One that knows peace,
But in the one I live in,
Wars never seem to cease,
And I dream sometimes,
Of a world of love,
Where people have faith,
And hope floats like a dove,
And things improve,
To a world of no blame,
Where there is no fighting,
And there is no shame,
I want to live in a world,
Where everyone is free,
Where they can fulfill their dreams,
And can be whatever they want to be,
So I'll keep working,
On reaching this goal,
So we can live in a world where looks don't matter,
Only your soul.
