My hazel horse hobbles
His burly head bobbles
My trembling hands
Clutch the reigns
And Hazel understands

My hazel horse, Slow
His eyes glow
Like the ebony field of night
Clutch the reigns
And Hazel gives light

Long legs, the rocky trail sprawls
Each hand falls
A pool of blight
Clutch the reigns
And Hazel gives might

Hazel,
My hobbling horse
Goodnight
