A Perfect Flaw
she struts into the hall,
not cowering at the pressure of all eyes on her,
she surveys the audience
glad to have so many
watching, wanting, waiting
right heel forward
left heel forward,
she doesn't have to think,
it all comes naturally
perfect curls bouncing around her face,
enjoying the attention
perfect hips swaying just right,
enjoying the attention
perfect face,
never giving away emotions
for fear of rejection
her friends follow her,
knowing they aren't good enough,
for others attention
she glances at the crowds,
giving sly looks to the boys
ugly looks to the girls
a girl her age is watching,
just the average ordinary girl
they lock eyes for an instant,
but its too late,
in that instant
she knows,
the girl knows,
they both know,
that she is only
a perfect flaw
