The Fool That Loved A Whore
Hello, my love
Why do you still show your face?
In every hour of my sleep
In every blonde that walks by with a smiling face
I see you
Lips glistening, soft
Eyes of a prowling lioness
And breathe rising and falling
In the primal rhythms of a thousand nights
Spent in ecstatic embrace
I recall sitting by the lakeshore
Telling myself
That all I would ever need in this world
Lay beside me right then
Smoky gray eyes
That were born to steal
The hearts of fools like me
You have taken what you came for
You chewed my soul into a thousand pieces
And spat them back in my face
I am beyond broken
Why will you not leave me be?
In every hour
Awake or asleep
I am haunted
By the hellish light behind your eyes
LEAVE ME BE!!!!!!!
My dearest wish
Is that I could honestly tell you
To rot in Hell
But I am still a fool
Do not ask me for forgiveness
I am a fool
I will grant it
If you must finally
Put an end to me
Then give me a month, a year
I do not wish
To die with a smile on my lips
Let me gather my strength
So that I may at least
End my life with the grimace
Of a man that fought foolishness
And failed
At least give me that comfort, my love
