MY WINDOW
My window is there
just there
as it always has been.
Through the winter when snow covers the outside seal and coldness fogs it's glass.
Through the summers when the bright sun beams warm rays into my vacant room.
On the darkest rainy nights it plays drum as the water drops beat onto it's solid Payne.
It was there to see the nights when I would punch out it's screen and leave from it's locked protection.
And still it stands through hurricane and sleet,
strong but fragile my window is there
just there
as it always has been.
