What is war?
Children losing everything
Humans accepting cruelty
What is war?
Enemies chosen
Emotional separation
Thorny hedges
Vicious selection
What is war?
Lives lost
Only images engraved in memory
Tears of the unknown soldier
Lying lost and forgotten
On the battlefield of time
What is war?
The search for truth?

What is war?
We lack answers

Why do we continue to fight wars when we know of their devastating impacts on humanity?

as a species we seem to need to argue.  If only we could settle wothout resorting to war and all its consequences.  Good job,  good message!

A young person's view of an adult dilemma - a brave and thoughtful contribution.

I had many of your feelings when young, but never found the channel to express them and so beautifully. Way to go!

I am very touched to see a member of the young generation have the awareness to even broach this subject, and then to do so in such an elequent way.  It contributes to my great hope for the future.  Good going, Brianna.

Our Government is the problem!Very sad, but true.  This has gone on for years, it is history repeating itself.

Nicely written

What is important is that such a young person is thinking so deeply about the eternal question--"What is War?"

Sunflower has written a most thought provoking poem and as she so aptly states there has never been an answer to the question....What is War?
