Mixture
What is the difference?
The traits that separate you from me?
It doesn’t make any sense
The kind of friends we’re set to be.
I look out the window
The sun brightens the street.
You look out the window
And it’s a place to put your feet.
Everything is black,
No colors such as pink or blue.
But happiness you do not lack,
This is just you.
I’ve always liked pink
And joy in my heart
Me and you I try to link
I try to find a part.
I joke about stereotype and such
About all the things your type should be
And while it may be a little much,
I really do know what I see.
I see you in front of me
How we’ve each been there
We’ve tried to set each other free
Though too much we seem to care.
There’s always been a moment
When I feel helpless and alone
And despite my joy and sentiment
I need to hear your tone.
We’re polar opposite
The last person I’d think to befriend
But no one can deny it
Because you truly are my friend.
