Hidden Underneath
The girl in the mirror smiles back at her
The smile of her mother and the laughter of her dad
Her tan skin and green eyes reflect those of her dads
Considerate and funny like her mom
But serious and shy like her dad
As the years change so does her child like face
From six to sixteen shes as mature as her best friend
She likes to party like her best friend
Starts to fall in the wrong crowd like her best friend
No more innocent little pout
Just the smile that hides her most darkest secrets
Not like the little girl that used to smile back at her
Her heart whispers to her at night
Beating like a drum
It tells her she's the girl who fell into the wrong crowd
