A step towards the past
It seems that an action
Is never meant to last
An interest and spark
A clever disguise
You see the clear gaze
In the back of your eyes
Would your own mind deceive you
Could it play a clever trick
Did it make you go backwards
While the clock made a tick
Stored in deep holes of wisdom
In the back of your mind
The answer is there
But not meant to find
You'll unlock it when able
To see what you need
When you can finally exhale
With no burden to heed
