Make a Flame
I'm not wishing any longer.
No more fantasy floating eyelashes,
or alarm clock dreaming.
11:11 is losing that old meaning.
The only significance it has for me
is that it's intended for those
who live in a land of make believe,
where their dreams never touch reality.
My reality will never be wishful or hopeful,
my reality is too busy being eventful.
My passions need to stretch;
being crammed within can be damaging,
so I'll let them breathe
by breathing my life into them.
My eyelashes can trail behind me,
and time can try to keep up with me,
but this fire I've ignited
is burning fast and strong.
My past is crumbling under the flames
of my present, and I can't say I have dreams-
I have goals.
Make a flame.
