A Rose is A Rose is A Rose

When the thorns of the rose have grazed me
And the coloring of their petals have amazed me
I find myself dazed
In a blissful rage
And wonder why the rose dies at all
With a kiss from my lips,
Words of sweet love,
And plenty of water and sun
I pray that the rose shall live on
