Autumn and Fall
Although leaves whirled around me,
The only sound that I hear—your breath.
The leaves’ colors cajole my eyes,
But mine are fixed upon yours.
The blanket
Of your arms
Wind themselves around me.
The taste of crisp, coolness
is replaced with your soothing warmth.
Autumn usually makes my heart slow,
But you make mine beat fast.
Just as fall takes my breath away,
So do you.
Autumn lures me to fall into leaves
As I long to fall against you.
The wind tosses about the trees
As we toss endlessly in fervent sleep.
Family and friends fall into place at tables,
As I fall closer and closer to you.
I fall asleep and know
I’m falling in love with you.
