She Could Be Bleeding
Are you so ignorant
Sir
To be so assured
She’s breathing now
Positive
Her neck stays straight
Her toes not inches from the stone
Her body steady no pendulum
Angel floats
Above your blissful skies
Air sucked out of her
For it was all that was left
The rest had abandoned
As she stumbled through the storm
They will claim
Months later
As will you
She was insanity
Deserving asylum
For her sickening delusions
But how could she breathe
Without blood
Blood lost through
The many little cuts
Too small for any notice
And nonetheless
Unknown collapse
Do not assume there was no why
Because the false pictures masked it
The ones of her shadow
Dashing through the background
Never front and center
Where she longed to
Be
She loved you
Do not spit in the face
Of her death
You never knew
She loved you
Pure as the
Whitest marble ruins
Maybe you could see
Love
Feel it’s heating presence
Without her here
Maybe you’d see what you love
When it
Did not breathe
Sir this is surely
Not a shock
Ghosts in love
Needing the living to
Carry on their scriptures
Of their slow demise
Alone
She might not be
Breathing
She could be
Bleeding
You never know
