There are times at night when I’m lying in bed 
Where I sit and think back to the things that were said
During the day and all into the night
They replay until I can remember them just right

I think about the people and events that have made me into me
And how everything was placed together so perfectly
Because God sent you right at the perfect time
And made me realize that life’s worth the climb

You showed me how to be a true friend
And how to always be there with a good heart to lend
You are able to make me laugh and smile at anytime
Even when I’m stressing out and in a bind

I’ve learned that there is nothing as nice as someone who shares
Your laughter, your secrets, your wishes and cares
You know how I work both inside and out
And I can listen and trust you without doubt

You’re one of the few who has seen me at my worst
When I am drenched in tears, you always put me first
You tell me that everything is going to be okay
And that you are never going to go away

You’re an ear when it comes to listening to my hopes and dreams
Even if they may sound a little too extreme
I can take the honest truth from you even when it may hurt
Because I know you’re telling me to help me be more alert

You give me confidence to be the best I can be
And you’re my role model that I look up to indefinitely
You understand me through my weird emotion
And I know you will always support me with your endless devotion

You deserve so much more than I can ever give
Without you I don’t know how I would live
