One Way Street
My skin becomes a hallow shell covering the rapid pulse as I think to myself,
How can I have so many choices,
on a one way street called life?
So many wrongs,
So many rights,
So many days,
So many nights?
How can I have so many choices,
on a one way street called love?
So much trust,
So much envy,
So much lust,
So much new-found passion within me?
How can I have so many choices,
on a one way street called Forever?
So long,
So unending,
So much like eternity,
So befriending?
How can I have so many choices,
on a one way street called Goodbye?
So many tears,
So many false joys,
So many times spent in years,
So many futures to destroy?
How can I have so many choices,
on a one way street?
