Winter Wonderland
I think back to the kids complaining about those cold winter days
When the trees were like dancers, shanays and relavays
When I looked out my window I saw the neighbor’s house
It blew smoke like a dragon but was as silent as a mouse
The sky smelled of snow though there was none to be found
While the palm trees shivered and shaked for they were icebound
As you felt the wind blowing against your arm
You knew that the day would bring you no harm.
We all sat around the fire with mugs in-hand
As we thought about our adventures in the winter wonderland
