Right Through You
I see right through you
But you don't know
I'm listening to more than you think
And I'm taking mental notes of what you tell me
So I can use it later
And shock you with knowledge you didn't think you had told me
You'll wonder why I pay so much attention
When we speak for hours on end
You'll wonder why I think when you think
Mirroring your topic, following like a shadow
I see us intertwined, but you're blind for now
And if I told you what I knew
It would come back to bite me
Knowledge is a powerful tool
But a deadly weapon as well
So while you pour your heart out all over the table
And quickly clean up the mess before anyone sees
I drink it all in
Maybe take a swab of DNA or two
Though there's nothing to analyze
For I have you figured out down to the T
And you think you know me?
