The Usual
Light through the blinds
Is the bright alarm for the day.
Her morning begins with her cup of coffee.
She adds her usual teaspoon of sugar.
Before she knows it
Her work day has begun
She answers phones, helps clients
And eats her usual salad for lunch.
When she returns home
She puts on her favorite scary movie
Pops a bag of popcorn
And adds her usual butter and salt.
The dark night has approached
The black shadows have appeared.
So she climbs into her bed
And covers herself with her usual purple blanket.
Morning comes around again
And she decided she wants to make changes in her life.
So instead of her usual coffee
She has a cup of tea instead.
