I wish

I wish the sun were shining,
So that everyone would smile.
Happiness would be dancing,
At least for a while.
I wish everyone was happy,
As happy as could be.
That everyone saw what joy was,
And that’s all that they would need.
Finally I wish there was no more fighting,
No booms, bangs, and gore.
That children could have their parents’ home,
To see them once more.
