A Little Confession
My mind is filled with
His familiar face.
But I wonder if it’s his face I see
(I push myself into things)
I feel like a 1920s love story
Or Romeo and Juliet
It’s like falling in love at first sight
(What a lie, no such thing)
I’ll miss him when he leaves
But hate him when he returns
But who is leaving and coming
(Surely not the man I saw days ago)
And I write to express my confession
To see if one day he’ll read
But a man as arrogant as he,
Well surely he wouldn’t have time to see
No surely, the man
I’m thinking about
Is a different man
From the one I’m talking about
