And May Yet Be
Driving
into the sunset
and knowing
another day
has come to an end,
she finds
no beauty
in the sight
she has seen
a thousand times
and will see
a thousand times more.
Her kids
bicker in the back
they aren’t happy
neither is she.
She complains
about her boss
and boring job
as is the norm
for this time of day;
she hears
none of the thanks
she receives
for the good deeds
she unknowingly
commits
she sees
nothing of this life
or anything
more
but soon
the nothing
that is
and may yet be
saved.
