Let’s lie here, still and silent
Gazing at the heavens twinkling bright
With the shooting stars high above;
The world at the edge of our fingertips.

Let’s lie here, still and silent
As lightning bugs flash
Their dim lights across the meadow;
Imprinting the back’s of our eyelids.

Let’s lie here, still and silent,
While the summer wind blows
The tempting scent of wild flowers;
Kissing our faces with the cool night air.

Let’s lie here, still and silent,
For you and I both know that,
Even the most splendid of words
Would taint this precious moment
