Make Believe
How do we trust one,
If everyone is a stranger?
How do we care about these strangers?
How do we love a stranger?
How do we pour out our inner core to a stranger?
Why do we make up the word “friend” for someone you don’t know a thing about.
Why do we fear loneliness,
When it’s the only thing that can save us?
Humans are full of nothing,
A nothingness that is called something.
We say that the emotions are in the heart,
The structure is in the brain,
But in reality, the heart only pumps blood,
The brain holds the emotion center.
We know nothing,
But we pretend to know something.
The successful are the ones,
That never trust,
Never love,
Never feel.
They never lose.
Trust only yourself,
because in the end,
we all only care about ourselves –
but the ones who admit it,
are the ones called psychopaths.
Maybe, just maybe, we should all be crazy like them.
Because they, they are the ones that win.
