Helpful Cold
A barn in Park City is
The farthest place form warmth
The reason you’re shivering next to me
Even with you jacket
Even with the doors closed
You’re still cold
I put your hands in mine
Rubbing your hands with my fingers
I try to warm them
We lock our arms together
Pushed up against each other
You’re still cold
I know what I need to do
I need to put my arms around you
I need to pull you in
If I hold you in my arms
You’ll warm up
You won’t shiver any more
But I can’t
If I do and the lights go on
Then were caught
I want to make you warm though
You look so cold
Even if you’re trying to hide it
