For Better or For Worse
Love
Love is a myth
That will never exist
And hate?
Hate is a lie
That everybody denies
So what does that leave left?
Neutrality?
Neutrality is an idea
That was never evident.
And trust?
Ha, trust is a joke
That nobody has ever, nor will ever understand.
Which leaves behind a very cold word
Filled with nothing
Leaving everything empty inside
Leaving everyone hopeless and heartless
I speak of a world that we live in now
Yet someway somehow
Most of us, maybe all of us, remain hopeful
Somehow someway
We remain
With that very important part of us
Still beating in our chest
But someday
Will our hope and heart disappear?
Will the ideas and myths still be here?
Will we all be cold
Without any hope
Or shall it turn around for the best?
Will love become fact from a myth
Shall hate be a truth rather than a lie?
And could trust possibly-?
Could trust ever possible be
A seriousness everybody believed and knew
Could trust be trusted in and understood?
Which way could we all possible turn?
Which way could our world possibly become?
For better or for worse?
