Goodbye
You’re just sitting there,
Staring,
Watching me,
Waiting,
For the perfect moment to strike.
Right?
Isn’t that what you’re thinking?
I can see it in your eyes,
Your smile,
The coldness that is you.
It makes me shiver.
You used to be somebody.
A person to count on.
A lover,
A hoper,
A person with feelings,
But you changed.
Your soul turned to ice,
Your heart froze.
You started to drink,
A lot.
You started to leave,
Alone.
You started to hurt the ones who loved you,
Not only physically
But mentally.
You aren’t you any more,
You’re something else.
The real you left,
And he never said goodbye.
