If I Die Young
If I die young,
(Yes I know this sounds familiar),
Stay by my side till I sing my last breath,
Listen to my prayers,
And breathe in my embrace,
Remember who I was,
Remember this face,
Life took me fast,
So lay me down gentile,
Shower me in kisses,
And whisper in my ear,
Those three little words,
I always held so dear,
If I die young,
(Yes I know it sounds familiar,)
Remember me in colors,
Remember me in joy,
Tear me away fast,
Like a child’s toy,
I’ll hear the angel’s voices,
As I enter into space,
I’ll close my eyes forever,
And remember your sweet embrace.
