You, and only you
I felt it before you arrived
My body shook; tingling
And when I saw you
there was only you.
Black fur bristling,
eyes a glacier blue.
There I saw fear, and anger
emotions that mirrored mine.
When I saw you again,
you had shifted into your other skin.
When I looked at you,
I knew we were the same.
I didn't listen; I rarely do
And when you held me
nothing was more important than you.
Mine, mine, mine,
I whispered,
As my hands ran through your hair.
Nothing mattered;
except you
You came first,
The Pack second.
Running on the soft earth,
we shed our skin.
And I howl
only for you.
