Somber sullen winds
Scrape majestic mountains
Wearing them down
To their beating core.

Rain sweeps across the landscape
Beating against the land
An abusive force
That makes the trees bend against their will.

Snow and ice
Creep like death
Blowing a chill through the veins
Of both the powerful and the weak.

Fire dances across the horizon
Licking the vanishing stars
With an ashy tongue
As dark smoke escapes from its mouth with each weary sigh.
