Ghosts of the Earth

Mist slithers on the earth;
Ghosts haunt the night;
Grave tombs cast shadows on the lingering dead;
Twisted souls glare;
Wisps of memory dance in the gloom;
No one is there in the void;
But their non-existence fills up the vacancy;
Stalked, but alone;
Forever in the sight of someone not there;
Ghosts haunt the night;
And slink back to their graves.
