My Friend
Rushing forward, laughing as I go,
While turning to my friend to see her crying
My laughing fades, replaced by a scream
My friend is no longer bright and happy,
My friend has turned into a monster , heart black and soul crippled
While my scream continues, a laugh starts within her
I turn to run away
It is too late she already has a hold on my soul
While tears start to stream my face
Hers starts to dry
While I continue to scream, she laughs harder than before
The meadow I once envisioned is a black hole
My mouth dry, my screams faltering
My friend is someone you can’t see
She is always with me taunting me
Her name is the same as mine
For my friend is my conscious
Always evil
Always making the wrong decision for me
For my friend is my conscious
