Freak For Nature
The morning Earth,
damp with the tears grass shed each morning,
is moist under my bare feet.
A morning dove,
coos softly to her mate,
that was far, but longed to be with her.
The sun shone fiercely,
but in the shade of an old oak tree,
nothing but the cool breeze runs over my bare shoulders.
The raven crows,
but to nothing,
nothing except the empty blue sky that hung so low above us.
Nature, is so much like people.
Me, a dove,
who coos softly to a loved one,
that is far, but so desperately wishes to be by my side.
