Bus Buddies Forever
You show me the side of you no one else knows,
And I wish you would realize,
That every time you even touch me,
It means more than just a sideways hug,
And we really do talk,
Every once in a great moon,
We sometimes even,
Approach the subject of me and you,
And every time it comes up,
We laugh it off,
Because it’s harder to say what we really feel,
Than pretend we don’t care,
And I try to move on,
And find someone new,
Someone who will care about me,
More than you do,
But then you smile,
Or you say something nice,
Or you wrap your arm around me,
When I don’t feel right,
And I wonder sometimes,
If we will ever,
Be more than just friends,
Or are we destined to be just Bus Buddies Forever.
