Angels of the Deep
In the gentle presence of their
curious faces I
glide,
unknowing and unaware in my reverie.
The light daces all around me, making it
seem as though I'm in an
angel's place.
The weed blows softly, though
there is no wind.
The civilians of this territory are
brightly clothed
In gold,
azure,
scarlet,
emerald, and
violet.
They are watching;
looking for that dark
enemy who seeks to utterly
destroy them.
But that does not stop them from showing
the beauty and majesty as they glide through
weightlessness;
oh! their poise and gentle ways!
As I glide, the angels surround me; smiling,
laughing with me. Some are small and cerulean.
Others are mammoth and remind me of ebony
and ivory;
all together in one beautiful angel. But in their
world, I may not stay; I am not like them.
The breath I breathe is above them. I,
only for a moment,
may enjoy their splendor,
magnificence of their being. Soon, I must
say goodbye;
they laugh and smile, saying Adieu
until the next time. Up, up I go
until above them I have reached.
Goodbye,
I say.
Then I give thanksgiving
to the
Prince of Peace
for these angels.
