When You're Gone
When the spotlight shines on me,
you'll be there at my side.
When I'm ready to dance,
you'll be there;
my partner.
When my hands tremble,
you'll be there
to hold them.
When the sun burns out,
you'll be there
with a flashlight.
When the tears fall like rain,
you'll be there,
tissue in hand.
When my lips feel cold and bare,
you'll be there
to press a kiss upon them.
When I slip on the ice,
you'll be there to catch me
before I even fall.
When my voice and soul waver,
you'll be there--
my savior.
But when my heart breaks,
you won't be there.
Because my heart will only break
when you're gone.
