Prison
She’s been waiting here,
seconds
days
hours
years
building up her fortress of words.
It’s walls are built high,
higher than any plane will reach,
and she is hidden low.
It is nearly impenetrable,
her fortress,
the world shoved out,
and she is shoved in.
She’s waiting here,
seconds
days
hours
years
building her fortress of words.
It’s walls are so high
no one dares venture over,
and she is lying so low
that she is never seen.
It is nearly impossible
for her to remember what it is like.
The memories are shoved down.
The silences are shoved up.
She’ll be waiting here,
seconds
days
hours
years
for that person that will
stumble upon her fortress.
Maybe the high walls will not scare them away.
Maybe they will spend the time climbing up.
Maybe they will see her all the way at the bottom.
And maybe they will care enough,
to rescue her.
