Virtual World
I close the book and sigh
As I realize time wasting by
I look up at the screen and start to think,
‘Life passes by with only a blink’
Yet life seems so easy from the side
With all the rules I don’t have to abide
The virtual world seems kind of fun
With freedom and plenty room to run
…my own fantasy’s
Feeling a rush of ecstasy every time, never different…
But yet reality sets back in
Sighing again as I start to begin
Like home it’s where your heart is
But in there I don’t have to feel scared,
Don’t have to act like I cared
I look out the window and I believe
That one day… one day it could be true
