The gang is dead
I'm dead, you're dead, he's dead
We're all living on borrowed time
On an irrational cling to hope
Which has no value at all
But then again
What do we care about value?
We each have lost everything
Sometimes more than once
Everyone we thought would care
Turned icy shoulders our way
And now their hearts are burning with hate
While we just burn
Lost in our own thoughts
What will we do now?
Where is our next meal?
Will anyone ever really care about me?
The gang is dead, but we have each other
It's been years now, and we're still together
So even if we all die on the inside
The ties of our bond
Are very much alive
