Transitions
Faded watercolor sky
Breezes sigh and smile
The moon begins to peer her head
around the corner and bid the tired sun good night
We’re walking
Always walking somewhere
Beneath trees that make their silhouettes sharp
Against the blurred horizon
Their leaves still and waiting for
Day’s mysterious sister to arrive
You’re laughing at me, as usual
Stupidity matched and returned
The light shifts from shade to shade
Like time lapse autumn leaves, remarkable
How we always seem to be in transport
Usually lost or wandering somewhere undefined
Never arrived or stopped
Pavement, asphalt, sore feet running
Bathed in dying light
The sky is not still day
But not yet night
Still in transformation
