Because
Words can't do this justice,
And tears can't make it right.
So there really is no way to say,
How much I need you here tonight.
No one understands me,
Not like the way you do.
You'd brush my hair back from my face,
And tell me, "I need you."
You really had it backwards,
For I see you can live without.
But me? I am forever yours,
And of that I have no doubt.
Even though you left,
And I should forget all the past there was.
Please know that I am always here,
And I still love you just because.
Because you're not afraid to tell me things,
Where other guys would shy away.
And you're not afraid of what they think,
Or what other people say.
Because you're simply (name),
The one who always pushed me through.
When no one else could comprehend,
Somehow you knew exactly what to do.
So maybe words can't do this justice,
But I know words won't make it right.
And so I'll keep on getting through,
Until you will hold me tight.
