Barely Whole
One of me
Alone
Against on thousand souls
My opinion’s never right;
I’m not pretty enough
Or so I’m told
But I’m still whole
Their tearing claws
And piercing calls
Moans and sobs
On and on
One thousand pairs of hands
Grab for my heart
They long to shred it
Part by part
Their screams drown
The chaos of my thoughts
And I’m alone
Left with nothing at all
How much more
Can I endure?
If their hands keep snatching
I’ll be no more
