Flames at Noon
Softly, a maple shook leaves;
The breeze,
Which had touched branches and brush
Left twisted and blush.
Suddenly,
From fiery exploding tree,
Hundreds of flames tiny and red
Scattered and whirled,
Fluttered and twirled,
Fell from the treetops dead.
