Families watch slow devastation on sidelines.
Sweat from sympathetic faces
Charge onto red ground.
The team has arrived,
Stoked by the opponent’s smoke,
Trying to net enthusiasm.
Love vanishes with the oncoming blow.
And eyes are fixed on the oncoming glow.
Game, set,
Match.
