One Year Later
It's been almost a year now
Since that awful day
Since that day when you tried
To take yourself away
The day I almost lost you
Was a day that changed it all
I had no way of knowing
Just how hard you'd fall
I tried so many times to call you
But you didn't pick up the phone
That's when the horror set in
That you could already be gone
That whole day I just sat
Consumed by all the fear
Then I finally heard from you
And that brought me to tears
Almost year after this all happened
And yet I'm still afraid.
I'm still afraid to lose you
Like I almost did that day
