Looking For My Moment
I look into my heart,
I look into my soul,
And I see myself,
In peril,
Lost and confused,
And I wonder how much I can take,
Because there’s not much more that I think,
I can.
I hurt,
In places I never thought I could,
I cry,
In ways I never thought I would.
And slowly and surely,
I’m realizing that I am not as strong,
As I thought I was.
I’m realizing that I am actually weak,
Weaker than I never wanted to believe,
I look into my heart,
I look into my soul,
And wonder if I will ever be out of this,
Dark abyss.
I wait for the light to come and reach me,
The light to set me free,
Or maybe someone to find me,
And then set my free.
But as far as I know,
When I look into my heart,
And then my soul,
I drown in my emotions,
That I previously didn’t feel,
And await my freeing,
Moment.
