I stare at my hands
There are two of them
Five fingers each
And in between
Are these funny little spaces
Where your fingers
Seem to fit perfectly
But these spaces
Look rather empty
Now that you are away
I would love to spend
More time with you
Hand in hand
Yes, that is the way it
Should be
Please return soon
For my hands
Are awful lonely

We all search for the person attached to the hands that fit perfectly in our own.

Thank you! I would have put a picture, but I couldn't find the right one... I appreciate the feedback though!

I really like this! Especially the last line; it makes the whole poem very colloquial. Great work, although I would have loved to see a picture next to it.
