Nothing Has Happened
I had a dream about you last night,
first time I saw you in a while;
first time I talked to you in a while.
You said you missed me.
You kissed me on the cheek.
You held my hand.
We spent hours catching up.
You whispered, "Nothing has happened."
And I asked "How? It's been 2 years."
You hugged me and started crying.
It was late; the sun set.
Your head rested on my shoulder.
You slept.
That was the last I saw of you before I woke up.
