The Attic
I have no voice, I cannot speak
Look in my eyes, to know the truth
I shout out loud, the silence is ringing
Somewhere alone there is one voice still singing
Uncover me, dust me off find the surface,
Just dig and dig, till you strike gold
Because underneath all the layers and lies,
Is beautiful, beauty hidden in disguise
And we all know it, we all see you
We’ve found ourselves, and found you too
Presence and pretense, all seems so real,
No more identities for you to steal
Come with us, follow me, to the place I call home
Time pushes us forward but we push it back
We just have these moments, just one more day,
Till the doors close, the key turns, and we fade away
