The Beginning of the Nutcracker
The lights shine on my “family”
Lighting up our faces.
We smile,
Ready to dance.
Our routine is embedded into our minds,
Having been practiced many times.
Glancing at my “parents,”
We enter with the music.
Pretending to laugh,
My “brother” falls off his toboggan.
I am scolded by our “mother,”
But our “dad” laughs with me.
Our friends come out,
So we act.
Then we all run off,
Ready to perform our dances.
