Our New Residence
That timeless light in the night sky.
The moon, like a branch of earth,
Grasping at the universe.
Humanity sends rockets to nest there on the barren surface,
Settle that crater ridden rock, earths arm to the stars.
Tonight, not a cloud blocks my view to that haven, still safe,
Our nest.
We will be there soon, bringing life to the lifeless.
The wheels of progress turn, and ships,
Carry scraps there, the nest almost finished.
That timeless light, our new residence.
